We first met Ruth and Don in Tauranga when they were on their way to Tonga in 1999 in the boat they had just finished after seven years of hard work. We caught up with them in Vava'u, Tonga where we celebrated Ruth's birthday. In 2000 we took a train from Picton to Christchurch to visit them, and spent a night aboard. A storm wrecked their marina and severely damaged "Tullamore Dew", but they rebuilt it. We saw them again in Tauranga in 2003 when this picture was taken.
